Teeside travellers can step back in time and enjoy routes of yesteryear as part of an annual celebration of vintage buses. More than 20 vintage buses are expected to be in attendance, both local vehicles and others from across the country, dating from the s to s. At the Bridge visitors are welcome to admire the buses and then travel on them free of charge on routes around Teesside.

Returning for our 11 th year, the Kingsbridge Running Day on Saturday 15 th September is going to include some interesting new routes as well as a different mix of vehicles for both regular and new visitors to enjoy. Although the road closure for major causeway re-construction along Slapton Sands limits our north-east routes this year, we will benefit from reduced through traffic and have taken the opportunity to explore new routes to the west. The Running Day will be centred on the recently remodelled Kingsbridge Bus Station on the Quay, operating services from The extensive network and full timetable give visitors the opportunity to ride on a range of vehicles to spectacular coast and country destinations all around Kingsbridge and the South Hams.
In the past the event just featured buses and coaches built to that width due to the narrow lanes, but in recent times larger vehicles have joined the ranks of superbly turned out buses and coaches that operate in and around the area of the pretty town of Kingsbridge in Devon on one Saturday in September. The day starts at the centre of Kingsbridge where our cameras record the arrivals and departures of the buses and coaches at the small bus station. There is a myriad of vehicle types and bus companies represented, as you will see on this programme.

Kingsbridge Vintage Bus Running Day is back this weekend, with more buses and more routes for their 10th year. Event organisers, the Thames Valley and Great Western Omnibus Trust, have been able to attract more entrants and have expanded the route network to celebrate reaching this milestone of a decade. All services are free and there is no limit to the number of journeys you can take during the day.
